Rats and mice are serious pests in the UK and pose a major
threat on British farms. Their ability to multiply extremely
quickly means a problem can establish itself in just a few
weeks. They can cause storage loss and contamination of grain
and other produce which may be rejected, transmit disease to
humans, livestock and pets, and cause damage to machinery and
electrical installations as well as structural damage to
buildings and infrastructure.
Prevention and control is carried out using a variety of methods
including rodenticides and traps to prevent resistance
developing. This is combined with ongoing surveying and
recommendations for housekeeping and proofing as part of an
integrated pest management strategy.
A comprehensive report detailing the pest control carried out as
well as all the actives and quantities used is provided at each
visit.
We fully comply with the Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide
Use (CRRU) Code to ensure there is no impact on wildlife as a
result of pest control being carried out.
We are fully accredited by the National Pest Technicians
Association (NPTA). All of our fully trained technicians are
members of the BASIS PROMPT continual professional development
scheme so that they remain at the forefront of the industry
using the latest methods and techniques.
